Lukuinto training events for benchmarking

School and library professionals have participated as cooperation pairs in free Lukuinto training events organised around Finland, often with view to starting and consolidating their cooperation. The high quality training events have included topical and inspiring expert presentations and the workshops have benchmarked = gathered and improved concrete ideas to take away to their own libraries and schools. Training events are organised together with Regional State Administrative Agencies. Local and national media also likes to follow Lukuinto events around Finland and the reading status of Finnish children and young people is seen as an important topic for stories.

The President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö is the patron of the theme year. Lukuinto ambassadors Siri Kolu, Aleksi Delikouras and Agneta Möller-Salmela visit schools and libraries during the Lukuinto theme year - also virtually.
